Graduate School of Engineering
The Master's Program aims to develop individuals who engage with cutting-edge technologies and not only drive current technological advancements but also create new innovations through their forward-thinking and originality. The Doctoral Program further focuses on cultivating experts with a higher level of specialization and strong independence, equipping them to excel as leaders in their respective fields.
Department of Engineering
We have established both an Educational Division and a Research Division. The Educational Division is composed of five specialized fields corresponding to the undergraduate courses, continuing and further developing the specialized education offered at the undergraduate level. The Research Division is structured around research areas aligned with the undergraduate fields of study, advancing and expanding the research-oriented education that begins with graduation research.
Mechanical Engineering Program
"Advancing Robotics and Intelligent Machinery"
Students acquire knowledge in mechanics, design, and control while learning technologies in robotics, aerospace engineering, biomimetic robotics, and human interfaces. The program integrates intelligent machine systems and robotic automation, considering environmental, resource, and economic factors. It also explores interdisciplinary connections with artificial intelligence and cognitive engineering. Students gain an understanding of the broad connections that mechanical engineering has with various academic fields and study related interdisciplinary areas.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program
"Actively Promoting Extensive Collaborative Research"
In the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Program, students acquire systematic knowledge to harness electromagnetic phenomena, electron behavior, electromagnetic and optical waves, and quantum concepts. They also learn techniques for representing and transmitting information, as well as for modeling and controlling systems. Furthermore, they gain an understanding that this field involves creating both tangible products and intangible processes, and they explore boundary and interdisciplinary domains.
Information Technology Engineering Program
"With strengths in AI, data science, and applied photography"
In the Information Engineering Program, students learn the principles and technologies related to generating, searching, representing, storing, managing, recognizing, analyzing, transforming, and transmitting information. They also explore the meaning and organization that information provides and work to create social value through information, while studying information science as a meta-science.
Chemistry and Materials Engineering Program
"Advanced Materials and Applied Chemistry"
In the Chemical and Materials Engineering Program, students develop an understanding of the structures, properties, and reactions of substances at the atomic and molecular levels and acquire systematic knowledge and techniques in materials transformation and the synthesis of new substances. They also learn about the connections to other academic fields, as well as issues related to material safety, environmental preservation, and the sustainability of humanity and society.
Architecture and Wind Engineering Program
"A New Center for Architectural Design and Wind Engineering"
In the Architecture and Wind Engineering Program, students acquire the knowledge and techniques necessary for planning, designing, maintaining, and managing environments essential for human survival, while ensuring harmony with the natural environment. They also learn to collaborate across a wide range of fields to address factors such as climate and regional characteristics, cultural and societal connections, structural strength, and environmental performance.
